Computer Science Summer 2019 Intern - AI / Speech Recognition

Who we are:

VoiceGain, a Speech Recognition / Artificial Intelligence startup located in Irving, TX. We are getting ready to open our Cloud/OnPrem Speech Recognition Platform for customers.

Who we are looking for:

A Computer Science student who is interested in AI / Neural Networks / Speech Recognition / Signal Processing / NLU / NLP / GPU-based computation. Preferably with programming skills in Python, Java, or/and Javascript.

What would you work on:

• Some of the tasks that we currently have on our to-do list for interns are: utilities for smart scoring of transcription results,

• benchmarking multiple GPUs on speech recognition tasks

• includes design of experiments, executing them, documenting, reporting

• tools for automated preparation of training sets for DNN

• testing some ideas for NLP / NLU processing of transcripts

• if you have prior advanced experience with DNN / TensorFlow / etc/ we can think about more advanced tasks.

What you would get out of it:

Salary - $2000-$2750 p. month depending on the skills that you bring, plus Some of those tasks open possibilities for publishing code and results on internet (e.g. github). We will try to do this as much as possible, which opens a way for you to get your name out there with some quality code and/or reports.

You will also have a chance to experience what it is like to work in a small team of smart people in a dynamic, high-tech startup.

We expect you to work in our Irving office during normal office hours, 5 days a week, for the duration of Summer vacations.
